PAWS-PATAS is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to animal protection, registered in Spain as a not-for-profit entity in the Association Registry of Andalusia as the Animal Protection Association PATAS on 26 November 1996, with the number 4-1-1928.

Registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries on 19 December 2003 under the number 5,324 (regional number AL185).

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, PAWS-PATAS collects the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the PAWS-PATAS website, you should avoid uploading images containing embedded location data (EXIF GPS).

Cookie policy

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, PAWS-PATAS will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, PAWS-PATAS will set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, while screen options cookies last for a year. Retention of your data

If you leave a comment, both the comment and its metadata will be retained indefinitely. This enables PAWS-PATAS to recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you complete any of our forms, PAWS-PATAS will store the personal information provided in your user profile. PAWS-PATAS volunteers with access can also view and edit that information.

We will retain your personal information for 15 years or as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, as detailed in this Privacy Policy. Certain information may be retained for longer periods for legal compliance, record-keeping, fraud prevention, or enforcement of legal rights. Residual anonymous or aggregate information, which does not identify you directly or indirectly, may be stored indefinitely.

Your rights

If you have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data PAWS-PATAS holds about you, including any data you have provided. You may also request that PAWS-PATAS erase any personal data we hold about you, except where we are required to retain it for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We require such third parties to use the personal information PAWS-PATAS transfers to them only for the purpose for which it was transferred.
