To help us respond to your inquiry as quickly and effectively as possible, please ensure you are reaching out to the correct department.
Thank you for your understanding and support. At PAWS-PATAS, the largest charity of its kind in the area, we are run entirely by dedicated volunteers and operate with limited resources. As a result, the majority of our time is focused on providing essential care and support to those who rely on our services.
We kindly ask that you explore our website thoroughly before contacting us, as many common questions are answered there. This allows us to manage our time more efficiently and continue offering the best possible service.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Volunteer with us
Make an impact on an animal’s life
At PAWS-PATAS, we believe every animal deserves love, care, and a second chance. But we can’t do it alone—your support is essential to help us provide the best care for every animal in our shelter.
Every moment you spend with us brings these animals one step closer to a new life. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, or just a few hours of your time, your help makes a difference.
We’d love to have you on our team! Sign up to volunteer today and make a lasting impact on the lives of animals in need.
Fostering
give an animal a second chance
At PAWS-PATAS, around 40% of our cats are in foster care.
Fostering offers a safe, loving environment for cats who need a little extra support before finding their forever home. Some of the cats who benefit most from foster care include:
Cats who struggle in shelters: Some cats are shy or stressed by the busy shelter environment and thrive better in a calm, quiet home.
Mothers with kittens: New moms need a secure, peaceful place to care for their young until they’re ready for adoption.
Orphaned kittens: Without a mother, young kittens need bottle-feeding, socialisation, and round-the-clock attention.
Cats with medical needs: Some cats require medication, post-surgery care, or ongoing treatment that’s easier to manage in a home setting.
Fostering truly transforms lives — not just for the cats, but for the people who care for them. If you’re ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
Surrender
At PAWS-PATAS, we’re grateful that very few cats are returned to us — a testament to our thorough adoption process and the commitment of our adopters.
However, we understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly. If you or a family member adopted a cat from us and now need to return them, please complete the form below so we can help.
Perhaps you’re the relative of a recently deceased adopter and are unable to care for their pet — we’re here to support you, too.
Need PAWS-PATAS to share a post?
If you’ve lost or found a cat, have a pet up for adoption, or need to share anything non-commercial related to animals, we’re here to help!
Send us the details, and we’ll post it on our social media to help spread the word.
Admission
Our new protocol
Helping us help animals
At PAWS-PATAS, we’re working to improve how we manage animal admissions—safely and responsibly. Here’s what you need to know:
Our fundraising outlets can’t accept animals—volunteers there aren’t equipped for intake.
The shelter may not always have senior staff available to receive animals immediately.
All new arrivals go into foster care or quarantine until they test negative for infectious diseases.
This is to protect the animals already in our care.
What you can do
- Fill out the form below to give us the info we need.
We’ll arrange safe transfer to foster or shelter as soon as possible.
Your form helps us log the animal in our system and plan next steps quickly.
